I am currently the instore Visual Merchandising Specialist responsible for Commercial Activities at IKEA Marsden Park, where I am also a member of our store’s Visitation and Vitality Group which focuses on commercial relevancy to our customer’s life at home. The role requires adapting international and national deliverables for commercial campaigns, seasonal changes and vitality collections to produce instore solutions that secure local market preferences alongside business goals and creating localised solutions that address store specific needs. This process involves running creative workshops, writing localised briefs and planning with commercial partners, delivering presentations to business leaders, leading a team of visual merchandisers for implementation and lastly, result follow ups with commercial partners and business leaders.

As part of the Communication and Interior Design team, I am constantly working towards developing surprising and inspiring solutions that contribute to a positive customer experience by applying my knowledge about consumer buying behaviours, utilising store layouts as a commercial tool, working with strategic business messages and priorities, commercial lighting, range presentation and local market knowledge; ultimately contributing to the positioning of the IKEA brand as a home furnishing specialist.
